National Novel Writing Month

Dear Readers,

Although it’s something of a misnomer, seeing that people participate internationally, November is National Novel Writing Month and I am participating for the first time. My sequel to American Monsters has been on my mind for over a year and I’ve been so distracted with other projects that I’ve not given it even the slightest bit of attention other than the occasional thought that I should be getting down to business.

So I am. Finally. No reading, no other writing, just queuing images for my hybrid/MONSTER photography project and focusing on American Monsters in Prague.

Today was NaNoWriMo Day 6 and I’ve already written 8,000 or so new words on the story.Yeah!

My goal is to write every day until I finish, whether that is by November 30, sooner or later.

For Zuzu’s Petals this will mean lots more Love Letters, since they are so easy to conceive of and produce, and a handful of pieces I wrote in October in preparation of NaNoWriMo. You know me, I love it here. I can’t ever stay away for long. 🙂

Thus far I’m thoroughly enjoying being solidly back in the world of American Monsters and I’m looking forward to sharing the sequel with you all soon.

Thank you for reading and wishing you a wonderful November!
